T2 Sky Deckは2019年の民主化デモおよび建て替えに工事開始による第2ターミナルの閉鎖に伴い閉鎖され、2025年12月現在もそのままになっています。
T2 Sky Deck was closed in 2019 along with Terminal 2 closure due to Hong Kong democracy demonstrations and re-construction work started. And it is still closed in December 2025.
現在立ち入りができないため、撮影機会がありませんので、滑走路表記の変更(旧07L/25R → 07C/25C)と軽微な修正をした以外は、こちらのページは立ち入りが可能だった2019年までの旧ページのままですので、ご了承ください。
As T2 Sky Deck being closed and I can't know its current status, I hope you can understand most of the contexts on this page are to be kept old page, except runway direction number update (old 07L/25R → 07C/25C) and other light amendments.

2019年11月29日より第2ターミナルは拡張工事のため閉鎖になりました。拡張工事が終わる2024年(予定)までは、スカイデッキは使用できません。下記の空港のプレスリリースもご参照いただければ幸いです。
As Terminal 2 expansion works have started, Terminal 2 will be closed from 29th November 2019 to 2024 when the works are expected to be completed. Now we can not access to Sky Deck until 2024. For the details, please refer to below airport press release.

■2つのスカイデッキ: 2 Sky Deck
現在香港国際空港には『スカイデッキ』という撮影ポイントが2箇所存在します。
1つ目はこのページでご紹介する、昔から有名な第2ターミナルのスカイデッキです。
2019年から閉鎖になり2025年12月現在再開の情報は出ておりません。
At Hong Kong Int'l airport, there are 2 spotting points named Sky Deck.
The first one is the one which is introduced on this page, located on Terminal 2 and has been known as a famous spotting point. However it has been closed from 2019 and is still closed in December 2025, there are no information its reopening.
もう一つが、2022年に第1ターミナルのスカイデッキで、2022年にターミナルの制限エリア内にオープンしたものです。
The another is on the Terminal 1; it was opened in 2022 on Terminal 1 departure floor (restricted area).

当サイトでは使い分けのため、第2ターミナルのスカイデッキを『T2スカイデッキ』、第1ターミナル出発階のスカイデッキを『T1 スカイデッキ』と呼称します。
To distinguish these 2 Sky Deck, this HP call them as『 T2 Sky Deck』 for the first one and 『T1 Sky Deck』 for the second one.

T2 Sky Deckは香港での飛行機撮影でおそらく最も有名な撮影ポイントになるかと思います。第第2ターミナルの香港航空探知館(Aviation Discovery Centre)にある展望デッキで、山あり(07R↑)、海あり(25R↓)、都会風景(25L↓)ありで撮れる背景の種類が多様なのも魅力の一つだと思います。
T2 Sky Deck must be the most famous airliners spotting point in Hong Kong. It is an observation deck located in 香港航空探知館(Aviation Discovery Centre) on Terminal 2. We can enjoy taking airliner photos on such various angles as with back of mountains (07R↑), sea (25R↓), city (25L↓) and so on. These angles must be one of the attractive points of T2 Sky Deck.
入場する際にチケット購入が必要ですが、T2内にあるためアクセスも容易で当然トイレ・コンビニ類も近いので、安心して撮影できます。
Being required entrance fare but, thanks to T2 Sky Deck being in the terminal, we can access there easily, and also have easy access to toilets, convenience stores, restaurants and so on.
They provide us comfortable spotting environment.

〈閉鎖: Closure〉
雨でも開きますが、特に天候の悪い日(警報や強い雨の日)や工事等のある日は閉まることもあります。
T2 Sky Deck also opens in rainy days but will be closed if the weather is quite bad (some alerts on such as signal alerts whistled or strong rains and so on). And when some construction works proceed on T2 Sky Deck, it will be closed.
閉まっている時は、探知館の入り口にその旨の掲示が出されます。
When T2 Sky Deck is closed, we can see the notice at the gate of Aviation Discovery Centre.
〈料金: Fares〉
1回券HKD15.00,一日券HKD40.00です(その他学生や高齢者料金もあるようです)ので、3回以上出入りしないのなら都度買いでいいかと思います。もちろんオクトパスでも買えます。入り口の場所から察すると、厳密にはトイレでの出入りも1回にカウントされるように思います。
One time entrance fare per adult is HKD15.00- and 1 day pass per adult is HKD40.00-. (In addition to them there seem to be some for children, students and senior). Of course you can buy by Octopus. I guess if you do not enter 3 times, buying 1 time ticket every time should be reasonable.
Strictly speaking and considering the place the entrance was placed, getting out for toilet should be counted as one time, I guess.
チケットを買わずに入る人がいるようで、最近チケットチェックは厳しくなったように感じます。
“If any suspected criminal offence about ticket issue was found, will be reported to police for prosecution. (チケットの発券に関して、これに反する犯罪と思しき行為を発見した場合、処罰のために警察に通報します) ”の注意書きが最近入り口に貼られました。
There seem to be someone who enter without buying tickets, it made the ticket checking stricter these days. New notice which says
“If any suspected criminal offence about ticket issue was found, will be reported to police for prosecution”
has placed at entrance.

・07R↑
⇧香港は25が好まれますが夏の夕方の07R離陸も絶景です。
I know many people like 25 operations, but I can say departures from 07R in summer afternoon must be also very nice.
⇧07R上がりですが、低い便だと貨物エリアの機体群とセットです。
We may see some flights take off from 07R lower with the back of spotting airplanes at cargo terminal.
・25C↓
⇧香港定番の25C降り機
Seeing 25C approaching is one of Hong Kong airport famous spotting angles.
⇧同じく25C降り機を街をバックに
Seeing 25C approaching with city back.
・25L↓
⇧25L降り機です。便は少ないですが同じく定番の高層マンションバックです。
Seeing an approaching to 25L with the back of tall apartments.
There should not be many such chances, but this is one of the most famous Hong Kong airport angles.
✨3滑走路運用開始により、見る機会は増えたように想います。
After Hong Kong airport started 3 runway operation, we can see 25L landings more than before.

■撮影環境: Conditions
①レンズ : Lenses
・07R↑
07Rからの離陸機では最も近い場所で300mm以上のレンズは必要になります。
(400mm以上はあった方がいいと思います)
or the planes taking off from 07R should be at shortest 300mm (closest)～
(I recommend you bring the one 400mm～)
・25C↓
定番の25Cに降りてくる機体なら200mm(フルサイズ)～、
For the famous shots which airplanes landing to 25C should be 200mm～ (Full size),
・25L↓
25Lに降りる機体で奥のマンション全体を入れるなら300mm程度
For 25L landing with full view of tall apartments should be 300mm～
②光線状況 : Sun light conditions
・夏: Summer
夏に25C降り機を撮影する場合は概ね午前中順光、午後遅くから逆光ですが、夏至が近いと午前中から既にトップライトか逆光気味になっています。
In summer when you take planes landings to 25C, they follow to the light in the morning and start to be back to the light from afternoon.
25Lに降りる機体や、07運用時に07R離陸機の撮影の場合は、午前中逆光、夕方近くから順光になります。こちらは夏至が近いと、ほぼ一日中順光です。
Planes landing to 25L and taking off from 07R, during this period both follow the lights almost whole day. On summer solstice season (from late may beginning August), planes are on the top lights or back to the lights even in the morning and are back to the light whole afternoon.
・冬: Winter
冬は07運用の日が多いですが、冬にT2 Sky Deckから07R離陸機を撮ると、一日逆光になります。逆に言えば、レアですが冬に25運用があれば、25C降り機は一日中順光ということになります。
In winter, when HKG mostly operates 07, if we see taking off from 07R, they should be back to the light whole day.
In other word, it is very rare but if HKG operates 25 in winter, all landings to 25C should follow to light all day.
・つまり: That is to say
光線だけに限って言えば、珍しい冬の25運用の日を除けば、T2 Sky Deckは07運用でも25運用でも夏向きといえると思います。
Just considering only sunlight conditions, I can say, summer should be the best season for airliner spotting at T2 Sky Deck both for 07 and 25 operations (and rare 25 operations in winter).
■注意事項等: Attentions
・環境: Environment
現地画像の通り、屋根など陽射や雨を遮るものがないので、特に夏場は非常に暑く、短時間の滞在でもすぐに日焼けしてしまいます。特に晴れている日は、日焼け対策の日焼け止め、熱中症対策のや十分な水分や帽子等の装備は必須です。また、スコールなど急な雨も降ることがあるので折り畳み傘もあった方がいいと思います。
As you can see on the photos, there are no roofs which protect you from sunlight and rains, it is quite hot in summer, and you must be burned soon even at short stay. I strongly recommend you prepare sunscreens and hats against sunburn and sufficient water for heatstroke, and umbrella for sudden rains.
・Airport Free Wifi
あと、空港内のフリーWifiは届かないようなので、フライトレーダーを見る等携帯端末を使われる場合は事前にSIMカードを購入し、交換されておいた方がいいと思います。
Airport free Wifi sometimes seems not able to reach to T2 Sky Deck, it may help you if you buy SIM card if you want to see Flightrader on your mobile.
・マナー良く: Please keep good manners
T2 Sky Deckに限ったことではありませんが、有名なポイントですので、飛行機撮影以外にも一般の家族連れや社会見学の子供たち等、たくさんの人がいることもありますので、マナーよく。
This should be applicable to other points but, here being not only famous spotting point but also famous attraction, many people include children come here, there always are many people.
Please keep good manners.
以前日本人と思われる撮影者と現地の方が喧嘩している現場や、日本人が集まって大声で話をしていてる(しかも周りが日本語を理解しないのをいいことに近くの人の噂話)を見かけたことがあります。親日な分日本語を理解する香港人も多いので、日本国内と同様に、発する言葉にはご注意を。
In the past, I saw a person who seems to be a Japanese quarreling with Hong Kong people and a Japanese group chatting about other nearby people with laud voice. Hong Kong being Japan-friendly area, some Hong Kong people can understand Japanese, please be careful of your words as well as when you are in Japan.
■アクセス : Access
T1の到着階から向かった場合のアクセス方法をご紹介します。
I hereby describe how to access to T2 Sky Deck from arrival hall on T1, for example.
①まずは第2ターミナル方向へ
: First, please go to T2
②突き当たりのエアポートエクスプレスの駅の前を左へ
: Please turn left at the front of AirportExpress station.
③突き当たりのタクシーターミナルの案内所の前を右へ
: Please turn right at the corner beside taxi services center
④通路を抜けて第2ターミナルへ
: Please go through the aisle to T2.
⑤通路を抜けたところのエスカレーターを上へ
: Please go up the escalator at the end of aisle.
⑥そのまま真っ直ぐ進みます。エスカレーターを上がってすぐ左にセブンイレブンが見えるので、水分等必要な場合は、こちらで
: Please go straight. You can find 711 left side, if you need water or something, please buy here.
⑦突き当たりのエスカレーターを昇り、左へ
: Please go up the escalator at the end of aisle and turn left.
⑧そのまま進むとAviation Discovery Centreの入り口があります
: After just a little walk, you can find the entrance of Aviation Discovery Centre.
⑨入ればスターウォーズの兵士がお出迎え
: Some soldiers from Star Wars world welcome you.
⑩右のカウンターでチケット購入。右の列に並んで、“One Sky Deck ticket please”でOKです。入り口はそのまま奥に進みますが、トイレに行きたい場合は、先にどうぞ
: Please buy tickets at right counter. You can buy at right line, just inform the clerks “One Sky Deck ticket please "You can reach the entrance of Sky Deck by just walking straight but if you want to go to toilet, I recommend you go first.
⑪T2 Sky Deckの入り口です。スタッフがいたらチケット見せましょう。中のエレベーターを上がればT2 Sky Deckです
: This is the entrance of T2 Sky Deck, if some clerks here please show them your ticket. The elevator inside leads you to T2 Sky Deck.
