【Hong Kong Int'l Airport Spotting Point】～Sky Bridge～

香港国際空港は、出発時や到着時の制限エリア内でも素敵な写真を撮ることができます。
We can enjoy airliner spotting not only from outside of Hong Kong international airport but also from its inside, I mean restricted areas.

全てのゲートのアングルをご案内することは難しいですが、過去に撮影した画像からいくつかご案内します。
It being impossible to show all angles at each gate, but I'd like to introduce some sample photos which I took in the past.

こちらのページでは第1ターミナルの出発階にある、今や香港国際空港の撮影ポイントの定番になっているT1スカイブリッジの撮影をご紹介します。
On this page, I'd like to introduce the photos taken at T1 Sky Bridge, which is now one of the most famous spotting points at Hong Kong International Airport.

■概要: Summary
1スカイブリッジは2022年冬頃から共用を開始した、第1ターミナルとサテライトターミナルを繋ぐ橋です。
下を飛行機が通れるように非常に高く造られた連絡橋です。
T1 Sky Bridge is a connection bridge which connects terminal 1 and satellite terminal, it started operations in winter 2022.
To allow airplanes to pass under it, its height is quite high.

目線が高いので、空港内がよく見えます。(⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠)
Thanks to its height, we can see around the airport well. (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠)

今や香港国際空港の有名な撮影ポイントになっていて、特に真下を飛行機が通過する構図は他にはなかなかないアングルだと思います。
Now Sky Bridge is one of the most famous HKG spotting points, especially, for its rare angles which we see planes from just above them.

ただ、2重窓で映り込みが激しいので、忍者レフなど、対策は必要だと思います。
However, there are strong reflections due to the windows are double, we need to do something against inside reflections.⇧これでは小さすぎました、、、もっと大きいものを用意しないと、、、
: It was too small for removing reflections, we need to bring larger...

■現地の様子: The view of there

橋は真ん中を堺に西側が出発、東側が到着エリアになります。
つまり、出発客は西側しか撮影できません。
The inside is divided 2 areas, the west side is for departure passengers, and the east side is for arrival passengers.
That is to say, departure passengers can see only west side.

⇩窓際の床もガラス張りになっており、真下を飛行機がタキシングしていくのを真上から見ることができます。⇩
⇩And its floors beside window are made by glasses, we can see the airplanes taxing under the bridge from their top. ⇩

⇩近くにゲート案内もあります。(⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠)⇩
⇩We can find gate information board on this bridge. (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠)⇩
ゲートが未定のようなかなり早い時間に中に入っても、チェックも容易です。
You can easily find your flight gate even on the case that you go out Hong Kong earlier before the gate assigned. (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠)

■撮影条件: Conditions
・窓の色と映り込み: Color of the windows and reflections inside
窓は若干青味がかった色で、2枚ガラスのため、完全に映り込みを取り除くのは難しいかもしれません。
The windows are double, and their color is a little bit blue and green, it may be difficult to remove all reflections.

色のついていない、または、薄い窓もありますが、一部の窓には青緑がかった色がついている場合がありますので、Rawで撮影して、後で直しましょう。
Most of the windows seem to have almost no color or have light color but there are some with strong blue green colors, we should take photos at Raw and adjust later.

⇧雨の日にWBをオートだと、無加工でこの感じです。
: The pre-edit color of the photos is like this; it was taken with auto WB on rainy day.

⇧窓に対して斜めになったら映り込みが、、
: Reflections came out just when lenses faced only a bit tilted to the windows...

⇧とにかく、忍者レフはこのサイズではほぼ無意味でした。(><)
: Anyway, unti-reflections of this size did not work well. (><)

⇧真下を通る機体(無加工)です。
外側の2枚目の窓の映り込み(多分橋の一部と手すり)が取り除けません。かなり大きい忍者レフなら大丈夫かなぁ？(詳しくないので分かりませんが)

・光線状況: Light conditions
第1ターミナルは東西にYの形で伸びていますので、時間帯によって光線状況は変わります。
The shape of Terminal 1 is Y and it lies east and west, sun light conditions at each gate are different from morning and afternoon.

【ご注意: Attention】
日中に2回撮影しましたが、2回とも雨でした。時間帯や天候によっては異なって影響すると思いますので、色については参考程度にご覧ください。
I took photos there twice, but the weather of both times was rain.
The window colors may affect differently depends on the time or weathers when you come, I hope you can see below information as just your references.

⇧第1ターミナルにスポット・インする機体

⇧真下を通る機体(前から)

⇧真下を通る機体(後ろから)

⇧真下を通る機体(真上から)
窓は機体全体を見れるほど大きくないので、A320でこれが限界です。これ以上大きい機体だと機首だけになると思います。

The floor windows are not enough large to see airplane's whole views. The widest view of A320 is like this. It should be only the nose if the airplane is larger than A320.

■注意事項その他: Attention and other info
・長居に注意: Be careful staying long
特に自分の便のゲートから離れた位置で撮影していて、撮影に集中するあまり、最終搭乗案内の時間が来て、放送で自分の名前が呼ばれるなんてこともあるかもしれません。
When you take photos on the departure floor, concentrating spotting too much may cause the case that, especially staying another gate which is far from your gate, makes your name announced after your flight final call.

搭乗開示時間はしっかり確認の上、遅れないようこまめに時間は確認しましょう。
To avoid such cases, please do not forget your flight boarding time and to check time regularly.

・身の回り品に注意
: Please always watch your belongings
目を離しがちになるので、身の回り品は目の届く自分の側に置き、盗まれないようにしましょう。
When you take photos, you may take your eyes off from them must be dangerous.
To avoid them stolen, please always keep them beside you.

■アクセス: Access
アクセスは12番ゲートと24番ゲートの間に入口がありますので、そこからエスカレーターやエレベーターで登る形になります。
The access is easy; we can find its entrance between gate 12 and gate 24. We are to go up by escalators or elevators.
エスカレーターは両方向あるので、行って戻ってくることも可能です。
Of course, the escalators are for both ways, we can go there and back.
