■概要 : Summary
フランクフルト空港はドイツのフランクフルト中心部から南西に7.5kmに位置するある国際空港で、規模はドイツで最大規模になります。同じくフランクフルトにあるフランクフルト・ハーン空港と分けるため、フランクフルト・アム・マイン空港とも呼ばれます。運営会社はフラポート株式会社（Fraport AG）で、ルフトハンザやコンドルのハブ空港です。 空港コードはFRA/IATA、EDDF/ICAOです。2つのターミナル(2021年から3つの予定)と下記の4本の滑走路を有しています
Frankfut airport is an international airport located 7.5km southwest from the central of Frankfurt. and one of the largest airport in Germany. To distinguish from the Frankfurt-hahn airpot, it is sometimes called Flughafen Frankfurt am Main Frankfurt Airport . Operating compnay is Fraport AG. Frankfiurt airport is the hub airport of Luhthans and Condor. The airport code is FRA/IATA and EDDF/ICAO. It has 2 terminals (will be 3 in 2021) and 4 runways as below.

2018年時点で年間約約7,000万人の利用があり、欧州ではヒースロー(LHR)、シャルル・ドー・ゴール(CDG)、スキポール(AMS)に次ぐ４位の規模で、世界では13番目に混雑した空港です。現時点で既に処理能力の限界に達しており、第3ターミナルが建設されている他、一部の便をミュンヘン空港に振り分ける処理をしています。貨物取扱量においては欧州1位です。
There were almost 70 million passanger came to FRA in 2018, this figure is the 13th biggest in the world and 4th biggest in Europe next to London Heathrow Airport(LHR), Aéroport Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG) and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). The amount of passangers is now reaching to the limit so terminal 3 is now under construction and some flights were allocated Munich Airport( MUH).The totall amount of the cargos is No.1 in the Europe(2018).

欧州主要都市が半径2,000kmに収まる立地の良さから、欧州の主要ハブ空港として機能しており、5大陸300以上の都市と結ばれており、直行便の数では世界一です。
Most of the major cities in Europe can be reached in 2,000km, Frankfur airpot is a major airport in Europe. It is linked to 5 continents and more than 300 cities in the world. The number of the direct destinations is the 1st in the world.

■ターミナル : Terminals
現在2つのターミナルがあり、1970年代に建設され、主にルフトハンザ、スターアライアンス系の航空会社が利用しているターミナル1と1994年に完成したターミナル2があります。2つのターミナルはそれぞれ専用通路、※連絡鉄道(スカイライン)、無料バスで接続されています。
※2019年5月時点では改修工事中
There are now 2 terminals, terminal 1 and terminal 2. Terminal 1 was constructed in 1970s and is mostly used by Luhthansa and the airlines of staralliance group. Terminal 2 was constructed in 1994. They are liked with connecting aisle, ※connecting train(SKYLINE) and free shuttle buses.

・第3ターミナル: Terminal 3
現在のペースで利用客が増え続けると2020年には処理能力の限界を越えると予想されており、空港南側に第3ターミナルが建設されており、2021年完成予定です。当初は2ピア24、最終的には4ピア75の駐機場を備える予定で、年間1,500万人の搭乗客を取り扱う予定です。連絡鉄道のスカイラインも延長される予定です。
Under current increasing pase, the number of the passangers is expected to reach to the limit in 2020. So now terminal 3 is under construction at south side of the airport. It will open in 2021 with 2 piers and 24 spotting areas and there finally will be 4 piers and 75 spotting areas. It is expected to handle almost 1.5 million passangers per year. SKYKINE is also planned to be extended to it.
・税関トラブル: Custom trouble
ターミナルの構造上、ターミナル1Bに到着した場合、機内持込手荷物と機内預け入れ手荷物で2回の税関を通る場合があるそうです。また、ドイツ自体が厳しい税関検査で有名だそうです。税関検査の基準については、例えば日本の場合は、ドイツ外務省の案内と、在ドイツ日本大使館の見解が違っているほか、過去のトラブル事例などで情報が錯綜しています。私はスペインからの欧州域内便でターミナル2に到着したので、税関等はなかったので、未経験ですが、インターネットで調べただけでは、正確なことはなんともいえないのが現状です。
Due to the terminal structures, passangers arrived at 1B at Terminal 1, need to pass customs check twice, for carry-on baggages and check-in baggages. Germany is famous for its sever customs check. However, for example in Japan, explains from Germany Ministry of Foreign Affars and Japan embaasy in Frankfurt seem to be totally different and we can see some reports of customs troubles in Internet.so I cannot provide any correct information from just seeing Internet.
I myself entered Germany from Spain last time, so there were no customs checks so I cannot say exactly about it. ...
なお、税関ではありませんが、出国に関しても、チェックインからゲートまで2回の手荷物検査を受けました。ゲートまでが遠いので、空港には早めに到着した方がいいと思います。(ターミナル2です)
And this is not related to customes, there were 2 baggage checks when I left Germany and the gate was so far from the check in counters, I recommend you to come to airport before your flight.
■アクセス: Access
空港へのアクセスは主に鉄道またはバスになります。
The ways to access to Frankfurt Airport should be mainly by train or by buses.

・鉄道: By Trains
鉄道では、空港には空港近距離駅と、空港長距離駅があり、各地と鉄道で結ばれています。空港近距離駅は空港北側に隣接しており、主に近距離のローカル線がフランクフルト中心部や各地と結んでいます。空港長距離駅は同じく北側にやや離れた位置にあるドーム型の駅で、空港および近距離駅とは連絡通路で繋がっています。ケルン-ライン＝マイン高速線の駅の一つこちらは主に高速鉄道が乗り入れています。13種のICE(インターシティーエクスプレス)と3種のIC(インターシティー)の路線が乗り入れており、ドイツ国内外と結ばれています。
There are 2 stations beside Frankfurt Airport. Regional station and Long-distance station. Regional station is located beside the airport. Local trains link airport to central of Frankfurt and each nearby districts. Long-distance station is the dome-shaped building located north side of the airport. It is linked with airport terminal and regional station with its aisle. This station is one of Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed rail line stations. There are 13 ICE(Intercity-Express trains) lines and 3 IC(Intercity trains) lines. They link this station to each districts inside and outside Germany.

・バス: By Buses

■滑走路運用 : Runway Operations
最も北側にあり、短い07L/25Rが着陸専用、南にある18が離陸専用として利用されています。07C/25Cも主に離陸で使用されていますが、着陸に使用されることあるようです。
私が訪問した2019年5月に撮影中に見た感じだと、
The north side and shotest one 07L/25R is only for landings and west one 18 is only for taking off. 07C/25C is mostly used for taking off but some land to it. Just my experiences staying there I can say
・離陸: Departures
離陸に関しては主に大西洋便など西行きの便が18から、アジア方面などの東方向の便が07C/25Cから離陸しているようでした。
The flights to west, such as over Atrantic flihts took off from 18, those to east such as to Asia took off from 07C/25C.
・着陸: Landings
B747やA380などの大型機は主に07R/25Lで、前後の関係で07C/25Cに着陸する便も見られました。短い07L/25Rは着陸専用ですが、主に小型機便が着陸していましたが、777Fなどの貨物機でも降りることもありました。また、エアライン・機材で決まって使っているのか、中国国際航空のA350やエジプトエアのB788は私の訪問中はずっと07L/25Rに着陸していました。
Most of the large planes, such as B747 and A380 landed to 07R/25L (sometimes 07C/25C), as of the shortest one 07L/25R, it was used for the landings of small aircrafts but I saw some 777Fs landed to it. And some airlines and aircraft seem to prefer to land to 07L/25R. For example, all A350 of Air China and All B787 of Egypt air landed to 07L/25R during my stay.

↑: 空港のガイドブックにターミナル1のトランジットエリアにオープンエアで飛行機が見られる場所があるとありました。私の乗った便はターミナル2だったので、利用するチャンスがなく、未訪問のため場所はおおよそです。チャンスある方は搭乗時にいかがでしょうか(^^)昔は空港のHPにも案内があったようですが、最近HPが新しくなった際に案内が消えたようです。検索したら残骸だけ出てきます(笑)。
↑: I could find the information of an open air terrace on transit area in Terminal 1 on the airport guide book, it said we can see planes from there. My flight departed from terminal 2 so I could not have the chance to try it so the place of it is just approximate place. If you have chances, how about visiting there whne you left FRA(^^)? There used to be the guides of it on airport HP but it seems to have been deleted when airport updated their HP. We can see only the wrecks of it when we search it(^^;)

■空港ツアー: Airport Tour
フランクフルト空港ではバス等で空港内を巡ることができるツアーがあります☆ざっと見ただけで、12種類もあり、時間も45分から最長で2時間のものもあります。種類によっては事前に予約が必要とのことですので、事前に予約してから訪問しましょう。前回は参加できなかったので、次回は参加したいと思っています。

There are some airport tours held at FRA. They show you around the airport by bus and so on. Just my short glance, I can find 12 types of tours, the tour time are from 45 minutes(shotest) to 2 hours (longest). Some tours need to be booked in advence, please visit airport after you booked. I had no time to try them last time, I do will try some on my next visit.
