先日の投稿でも軽く触れましたが、日本に帰国してから、何度か香港に来ていますが、香港の街の撮影との兼ね合いで、実は飛行機撮影としては、やや外した時期に来ていました。
(率直に言うと、花火目当て☺️💦)
As I mentioned a little on the past post, I have come to Hong Kong several times a year after I had been back to Japan in 2022, however, to tell the truth, unfortunately, all my past visits could not hit the best airliner spotting season due to that I tried to meet them to Hong Kong city photographing.
(Frankly speaking, seeing fireworks.☺️💦)
今回、2026 年2月は天気もターゲットも、(実は街も)※盛大に外したので、これまでの経験から、オススメとよろしくない時期を書いてみようかと思います。(｡ﾉω＼｡)

My last visit, in Feb 2026, was apparently the worst case both for airliner spotting and for Hong Kong city photographing, so I concluded I should share this, that is the prefer and bad season for airliner spotting based on my experiences. (｡ﾉω＼｡)

香港に飛行機撮影にこられる方々がターゲットにされる飛行機や構図は人それぞれですし、天気や臨時便などは予測不可能です。
Each spotter has each targets and prefer angles, and it must be impossible to exactly expect the weather and irregular special flights.
このページを見て、飛行機撮影に不向きな時期として避けた結果、実は激レア機が来ていた、天気が良かったなど不慮の事故もあります。
So, a kind of tragedies that you may find some special flights come to Hong Kong or good spotting conditions after you decide not to come to Hong Hong by only seeing this page.
本日いろいろ過去の経験から気付いたことを記載しますが、香港に来られる際はこちらの情報だけでなく、皆様でしっかりお調べの上、来港されますようお願いいたします。

2026年5月に第2ターミナルが供用開始とのことです。
It was announced that Hong Kong airport T2 will start services in May 2026.
投稿時点(4月22日)ではT2 Sky Deckが再開するかは分からないので、この投稿ではT2 Sky Deckは撮影地の候補から外していますので、ご了承ください。
At this time, the day this post is placed (22nd April), I could not find if T2 Sky Deck will open again or not, so I exclude it from spotting point list.

①T1車寄せ(南): T1 Carriage porch (South)やHAECO周辺(Beside HAECO).から、つまり、07R/25Lの南側から離着陸機を順光で狙いたい方
If you are a kind of spitter who likes to see the taking offs and landings from/to 07R/25L from south side, for example, from T1車寄せ(南): T1 Carriage porch (South)or HAECO周辺(Beside HAECO).
は、太陽が07R/25Lの南側を通過する夏だと思います。
The prefer season should be summer, because the sun moves on the south side of 07R/25L.

If you aim to see the cargo flights
香港国際空港は貨物取り扱い世界一ですので、貨物機をターゲットにされる方は多いと思います。
As the total air cargo amount at Hong Kong Airport is the largest in the world, I believe, many spitters aim to take cargo flights.
当然貨物は繁忙期、閑散期があります。
クリスマスや旧正月などの繁忙期の※【少し前】がピークになるように思います。
※12月24日に空港にクリスマスプレゼントが着いても遅すぎでしょ？
It must be common sense, I believe, that there are some cargo busy season and otherwise.
I believe the busiest time should be ※【a little before】event season, such as Christmas season or Chinese new year and so on.
※Don't you think it must be too late if your Christmas gifts arrive at the airport on 24th December?
私は、香港の街の撮影で花火を撮りたかったので、貨物量が減りつつある時期ばかりに来ていたので、毎回直前数週間でフライトレーダーを見て撮りたかったターゲットさんが来なくて悔しかった経験をしました。
Having aimed at taking fireworks, I arrived in Hong Kong at event time, that is, just after cargo busiest time, I every time felt sorry to seeing the number of cargo flights had already started decreased, especially some interesting targets.

突然のスコール Squall suddenly came
例えば、雨季が年によってズレやすいので、. 『香港の雨季は◯月』のような表記は難しいのですが、私が香港にいた際は下記のように感じました。
For example, the rainy season lying different year by year, it is quite difficult to use such expression as『Hong Kong rainy season is ◯(month)』 but during I was living in Hong Kong, I had felt as below,,,
・1月/2月: January and February
ガス多め、年によっては2月後半から雨や湿気の多い曇の日が増える
There can be seen many days with strong gases, in some year, rainy or cloudy days start to be seen from latter February.
滑走路運用は07多め
As of the runway operations, 07 operations can be seen often.
・3月〜5月: From March to May
天気のいい日もありますが、年では雨や曇、霧の日が一番多いように思います。今まで撮影した霧の香港は全て3月です。
Some fine days may be seen but foggy, cloudy or rainy days can be seen the most in the year. All my foggy Hong Kong city photos were taken in March. 
・6月〜10月: From June to October
天気も視程も良い日が多いです。特に夕方。ただし、まれに非常に視程の悪い日があります(油断は禁物)。
Many fine days with nice visibilities, especially at evening can be seen. However, some strong gases may also be seen. (Do not feel ease.)
亜熱帯につき暑いし、夕方や夜にスコールもあります。
As Hong Kong belonging to sub-tropical climate, temperature is always very high, and squalls can be seen often at night or evening.
滑走路運用は25が多め。
Many 25 operation can be seen.
・11月/12月: November and December
視程のいい日もありますが、視程は徐々に悪くなりる感じです。
There can be seen some fine day with nice visibilities, but they gradually get worse.
滑走路運用は07多めですが、最近は25も時々見ます。
Many 07 operations can be seen but some 25 operations may also be seen.
